1.What are the insulation values of the continuous rooflights?
The insulation values are shown in the table of material characteristics.

2. What is TL?
TL stands for TransLucency (in Dutch, LTA). This is the percentage of light that is transmitted through the glazing.

3. What is the g value?
g is the solar heat-gain coefficient (in Dutch, ZTA). This is the percentage of the sunlight or energy that is transmitted through the panel cladding.

4. In what clear opening sizes are BIK continuous rooflights manufactured?
Clear openings are available in almost any size. We start by calculating the clear opening + the width of the structural upstands and then tailor-make the continuous rooflights.

5. Do you also make upstands for continuous rooflights?
No, we always install on structural upstands or substructures. For our system, the width must be at least 50 mm and the free vertical height 80 mm.

6. What is the lead time?
The lead times depend on the time when the definitive starting points are communicated in combination with any treatment (e.g. enamelling) of the sections.

7. How do I request a price?
If there is already a specification, we ask you to send us the relevant specification paragraphs and drawings. In other cases, please send us drawings or sketches of the required situation and a description of the materials requested.

8. How can I clean the continuous rooflight?
A continuous rooflight requires little maintenance; see also our cleaning recommendations.

9. Do you also provide the safety facilities?
We can naturally provide them, but given that we are usually last in line in the building process, the safety facilities are already in place and should remain until we have completed our work. This is usually cheaper than us re-installing the facilities specially for our activities.

10. What guarantee does BIK give on their continuous rooflights?
BIK gives a 10 year guarantee on continuous rooflights; see also our Guarantee certificate.

11. Does BIK also supply sun-resistant glazing?
Yes, see also glazing.

12. Are continuous rooflights burglar-proof?
BIK has solutions that impede intruders. These are heavily dependent on your application and type of rooflight. Call us for more information.

13. Are continuous rooflights fall-through safe?
BIK has solutions to make rooflights fall-through safe. As these are project-specific solutions, you should ask about the options to suit your situation.
